History
Twelve restaurant & Lounge bar was opened on 12th March 2000 by husband & wife team Paul Moss & Caroline Upton. They had worked in the industry in Manchester, The Lake district and Scotland for the previous14 years. After much searching Paul & Caroline found the property they had been seeking in Thornton Cleveleys which they converted into a restaurant. The old dance studio located at Marsh Mill Village was directly underneath one of the tallest working windmills in Europe, the beautifully restored Marsh Mill Windmill. Caroline and Paul employed an Architect, an old school friend Chris Bradley and the three of them worked together to create a space with an industrial trend which ran through the entire restaurant, and so ensured that the venue fitted in with its environment.
The restaurant over the years has built a huge loyal clientele creating a busy restaurant which has aided expansion of the venue in 2006/2007. At this point a stunning new lounge bar was built onto the restaurant. The Restaurant and Lounge Bar combine elements of modern interior design with familiarity to provide the area with a unique dining experience. Twelve is a venue that attracts a varied crowd, who have only one thing in common; a desire for quality.
Perhaps most importantly the expansion included the engine room of twelve restaurant and a state of the art new kitchen was fitted with a Charvet range and the latest technical equipment. As the restaurant enters a new era it operates out of a highly organised space and Paul and Caroline know they are graced with a product that in the industry could only be described as a dream machine.
