Blog update: November

We can’t believe it is December already…Time to dig out those festive jumpers again! While we hope you are looking forward to the festive month ahead, we thought we would take a minute to update you on our last month’s activities.

 

8th November

We kicked off the month with our last comedy night before Christmas on Tuesday 8th November. Big Lou was back with fellow comedians Steve Shanyaski and Steve Harris, who put on a fantastic night of entertainment for guests. The lamb hotpot with minted mushy peas was a popular winner. We can’t wait for the return of the comedy nights in the new year. So keep your eyes peeled on social media for confirmed dates!

10th November

We were also fortunate enough to be nominated in the final for two awards- the ‘Lancashire Life’ Restaurant of the Year Award, and the Taste Lancashire category at the ‘Lancashire Tourism Awards’ (LTA’s). It was fantastic to be in such strong categories, and we had a great night at the LTA'S. Congratulations to all winners and finalists!

This month we have also been busy at Fleetwood Town Football Club, catering for their VIP’s in the Parkside Suite. The club continues to go from strength to strength and special mention goes to our sponsored No.12 player, Cian Bolger, for scoring a brilliant goal against AFC Wimbledon last week!

24th November

Another day in the life of Twelve saw us take on the Wyre Business Awards for 244 people at the Marine Hall, Fleetwood and the High Sheriff Dinner at the Blackpool Tower Ballroom for 36 guests.  It was lovely to see so many familiar faces at both events, and it was privilege to cater at the two venues.

We also had the pleasure of meeting and catering for many brides and grooms at The Great Hall at Mains this November. We received such positive feedback and would like to thank you for choosing Twelve to be part of your special day. Congratulations!

27th November

What better way to see in the end of November and get in the festive spirit than with a Christmas Market? Twelve served a succulent hog roast, accompanied with hot mulled wine & cider as a winter warmer. We were all over whelmed at Marsh Mill by the fantastic support of the local community, and we didn’t anticipate such a huge turn out! Thank you to everyone who embraced the cold weather and helped raise money for the brilliant people at Trinity Hospice! Special thanks also to Amanda and Glenn from Rustic to Regal and Caroline for organising the Markets and Light Switch on!

30th November

On Wednesday we also had the pleasure of attending the Great Flower Design Bake Off Final…and sampling many delicious cakes and bakes! The charity baking competition raised money in aid of the fantastic charity- North West Children’s Support Group, which helps disadvantaged families in the North West. Big congratulations to Jane and Jason for orchestrating such a brilliant event and raising money for a worthy cause, and of course well done to all winners and participants! We look forward to welcoming two of the winners into the restaurant. Nettie, winner of amateur baker will be spending a day in the Twelve Kitchen with Head Chef Graham…I don’t know who is the lucky one! Runner up in the professional baker’s category, ‘Vicky Cupcake’ also received a meal for two at Twelve! Well done :)
