We presented a cheque for £8,000  – the total amount raised at events staged throughout 2010/11 to celebrate our 10th anniversary.

She said: “I would like to thank our customers – none of this would have been possible without them. I would also like to thank local businesses which have given us raffle prizes or supported us in other ways.

"We’ve also greatly appreciated the help and assistance from the fund-raising team at Trinity Hospice.
