It is hard to believe that we are two thirds of the way through February already! Since the beginning of the month we have done four weddings at the beautiful Great Hall at Mains
, two trips to Fleetwood Town FC
as they took on both Bradford and Burton Albion. On the home front, we welcomed a group of budding chefs into our kitchen to enjoy a day in the life of Twelve
at one of our cookery demonstrations. A great day out was had by all as the customers got to see behind the scenes of the restaurant, the kitchen (our engine room) and learn't how to make delights including pork belly for main course and lemon posset for pudding! After a few hours with the chefs they then moved through to enjoy a two course lunch, accompanied by a great selection of wine and the laughter coming out of the restaurant was the sign of a well spent day.
After all of this activity, we must not forget that February has been the month of Love. Valentines Day was the usual sell out with some last minute romantics trying to find that illusive table. A delicious menu was created to accompany the sounds of Daniel Sing's. Favourites of the evening included the fish sharing starter of fried chilli squid, tartar salmon and king prawn skewers. 'Surf and turf' of Forest of Bowland beef and Dublin Bay tiger prawns proved a popular choice for mains and the Valentines sharing dessert plate was a sight to be seen.
Sticking with the spirit of love we thought it was about time we put some photo's on of our time at the Great Hall at Mains
. Here are a few snaps from the fabulous wedding we did on Wednesday 20th, celebrating the marriage of Stephanie Glendinning to Sue Magee. A big congratulations to the happy couple from us and also a special mention to Jason from Flower Design
for supplying us with these fantastic pics.
