Let The Weddings Begin!

The 28th March marked the beginning of what is about to be a seriously busy few weeks.  Over the past 7 days we have celebrated the marriages of six fabulous couples at The Great Hall at Mains.  Each menu was different and unique including a fish and chip wedding breakfast which could not be done without personalised bottles of vinegar and tomato ketchup.  Other delights included a tapas sharing starter, dessert favourites like our famous fairground attraction and one couple even went for an alternative to the traditional wedding cake, theirs was made from cheese.  This weekend our hog roaster was is action as it slowly cooked away on the patio adding an element of entertainment as the evening guests waited in anticipation for it to be ready, whilst others opted for a popular choice of good old bacon butties.

This weekend, Fleetwood Town were also at home and saw a crowd of over 200 fill the Parkside Suite and hospitality boxes as the Cod Army took on Gillingham which resulted in a 2-2 draw.  Not forgetting the restaurant itself, last Thursday saw us closing as the venue was hired to celebrate the 40th birthday of one of our valued customers who enjoyed walking canapes, a buffet of chicken curry and beef bourginon, finished off with eton mess, profiteroles and the sounds of the Ian Hooper Band.

Team Twelve took on the masses as Gillingham came to Fleetwood Town.
Our Easter Sunday was spent in a slightly different way this year as we heard the sounds of wedding bells for the marriage of Viv and Bruce.  Celebrating the day with around 100 of their family and friends, a cava reception greeted them as they arrived with the sun shining.  A lovely ivory colour sceme graced the restaurant, with easter themed Lindt bunnies as favours and a pick and mix table that had the staff fixated all day.  The couple made a great selection for their wedding breakfast with a mozzarela salad to start, 40 hour cooked brisket for mains and a mixture of minature desserts for pudding.  As the eveing reception approached, the room was transformed and music was enjoyed from Zeta and Lee before the arrival of the evening walking canapes. As we said our goodbyes to Viv and Bruce they made the staffs day, allowing us all to become big kids and raid what was left of the sweet table.  Lets just say we all went home with a smile on our faces that night :)

Our Easter Ivory Wedding.

The perfect venue for celebrating your special day.
A delicate start to the wedding breakfast.
A pudding to bring a smile to anyones face.
Which to choose?  It's not the kid's you have to watch for, the adults were the ones that couldn't resist.
With an even busier week waiting for us over the next few days, we just wanted to take this chance to wish all of our brides and grooms from this week and long and happy marriage filled with lots of laughter and love.
See you all soon.
