Well another month is nearly over and that takes us a quarter of the way through the year already (not that we are wishing it away or anything). The start of March saw us joining forces with the Fleetwood Town FC
team and giving the north west's parents a day with a difference for keeping the kid's occupied. It was an amazing turn out with the kid's treated to a tour around the stadium, a sneaky peak behind the scenes at the training facilities and changing rooms as well as the opportunity to meet the team throughout the day, seizing every moment to grab an autograph or two. The day wasn't just about football, it was also about healthy eating, which is where we came in. Paul showed each group how to make homemade pasta and chicken as well as other treats that they could do from home and after a bit of sampling, headed back through to the Parkside Suite for a lesson in different fruit and veg from Caroline and Dulcie. It was a great day out for all and a fantastic insight into the world of food and kitchens (one we live in every day).
Paul didn't struggle for volunteer's to help make pasta.
The player's came for a few healthy eating tips too!
It was a great turnout for the open day at FTFC.
Then it was Caroline and Dulcie's turn.
To finish off the day, the players signed shirts and footballs for the kid's.
Changing venue's, we then spent the day with one of our other partner's, the Great Hall at Mains
. The team at this fabulous venue regularly stage Wedding Fair open days where prospective bride and grooms get to tour the facilities, meet the caterers and sample some of the delicious meals which are available. This visit we were found in the main house which can be used for small intimate weddings or alternatively can be hired as accommodation for the bridal party. Tom was kept busy as couple after couple came to try some of our menu options whilst Caroline and Michelle were on hand to answer any questions and provide inspiration for that perfect day.
Since then, the restaurant has remained really busy as we continue to offer new dishes on our current A La Carte menu as well as the fantastically priced Seasonal Menu which can still be enjoyed with a complimentary glass of wine for £16.95 (Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Sunday evenings based on two courses). The Parkside Suite down at Fleetwood Town
has been packed to the rafters for this months matches and we must not forget to mention our busiest Mother's Day on record, as the Fylde Coast's mum's got to hang up their aprons for the day and enjoy being pampered. The team are now getting prepared for a seriously busy few weeks as we cater for the weddings of over seventeen couples, a few trips to the football and plenty of celerations and diners at the restaurant, so heads down, we will see you on the other side :)
