As you can tell from the last few postings, we have been chasing ourselves to keep up to date with telling you all our news so apologies for being a bit behind at times, we will try harder. So, what has been happening over the past few days you might ask. After our 11 day marathon, we did all manage to have a bit of sleep before the next wave arrived. Base camp has returned to it's normal duties with diners enjoying some new dishes from our Al la carte menu such as spring chicken with a truffle mousse stuffed leg, three bits of pig which includes a fillet, delicious piece of belly and pig's head croquette (it has proved a big hit) and for pudding, 'Rhubarb & Custard' in our own Twelve style. We have also decide to continue with our Seasonal Offer for the rest of the month, so if you fancy a bargain, why not come down and see us for our two course menu at £16.95 (Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday & Sunday evenings) with dessert an additional £3.95, it even comes with a complimentary glass of house wine. A three course version of the offer is also available on Friday nights for £22.50, a great way to start the weekend.

Moving away from the restaurant, we have been spending a lot more time with our friends down at the Great Hall at Mains
. It has been fantastic to be a part of each wedding and all the unique ideas and colour schemes every day brings. A theme we had not done before was for the marriage of the new Mr & Mrs Smith, who's medieval wedding included the formal service followed by a hand fastening ceremony in the grounds. The bride, groom and guests were all in appropriate dress wearing a variety of costumes to add to the atmosphere. Lord Russell and Lady Deborah as they were known for the day wanted their wedding breakfast to match the entire theme and so they enjoyed a succulent plump breast of roast bird (chicken), enthroned on a tarragon hash brown, followed by from the spice trains of the orient, ginger cheesecake with butterscotch sauce.

Last Saturday saw us catering for the final match at Fleetwood Town
as they took on Chesterfield. Unfortunately the end result was 3-1 to the visitors but it has been a great season and we hope everyone has enjoyed the hospitality in both the Parkside Suite and boxes, it's certainly been a busy one and we look forward to the beginning of the next. If you have never been before, it is a great day out for all the family so why not think about coming to see both Team Twelve
