Last weekend will forever be one to remember as we truly became 'Twelve @ Lytham Prom'! Catering for over 1500 people across the three night event, the team certainly brought Twelve's delicious food and professional service to the VIP Hospitality Marquee.

Vans loaded and every pan and piece of crockery accounted for, we headed down to what would become our home for the weekend. As we approached Lytham Green, the scale of what has become known as a must-see event became apparent. The stage dominated the sea front as well as the huge hospitality marquee which would become our 'pop-up' restaurant. Chandeliers hung from the ceiling as floral displays and Twelve
inspired furnishings brought the character of what we strive for back at base camp.

The 80's was the theme for the first night as guests arrived dressed like their favourite act, there were certainly a few Adam Ants hanging around the marquee that evening. Fantastic dishes including Seafood Cocktail, Chicken Kiev and an 80's Retro Plate of desserts were enjoyed by all with the sweet jars which arrived with coffee bringing out the big kid in everyone.

With acts including Tony Hadley, Jason Donovan and Heaven 17 going down a storm the night before, Saturday offered a different kind of evening as Russell Watson and guests brought a 'Last Night of the Proms' feel to Lytham. A champagne reception and canapes started of the evening followed by mille feuille of goats cheese, 40 hour cooked beef and an assiette of summer puddings, not forgetting the cheese plate which awaited guests during the interval. The team were even able to enjoy the final song of the night as everyone sung Land of hope and glory to the sight of union jacks and fireworks, now that's what we all call the end to a great day.

Rita Ora was the headliner for our last night at the proms, so to keep in theme with the night, the chefs worked really hard to create a Street Food inspired menu which proved to be an amazing hit with the guests. Sunday was designed to be a more relaxed and informal evening with a hog roast and bbq cooking away on the outside decking. Unfortunately the non stop rain meant the chefs ended up getting an unexpected shower, but it certainly didn't dampen anyone's spirits. Mexican beef chilli served from a huge wok became the focal point of the buffet as well as bringing a bit of Willy Wonka style fun as hidden within one of over a thousand jarred puddings was a golden ticket to next years proms.

All the hard worked payed off and resulted in a fantastic weekend of food and live entertainment. Team Twelve
