Twelve spends a day with Rossall School!

Thursday 15th May, 2014
Twelve Restaurant spent a day at Rossall School...

working alongside their staff delivering a unique twist on their usual lunch service, our chef's prepared a delicious three course meal for all 700 students and staff at the school.
The take-over lunch was part of an initiative scheme to offer the pupils of Rossall a taste of British Fine Dining.

The staff and pupils had the option of a tomato soup with pesto ice cream as a starter.
Their choice of main course dishes were:
Slow braised beef with a yorkshire pudding, parsnip puree and gravy,
Fleetwood Fish Pie filled with four types of delicious local fish, topped with creamed potatoes and glazed lancashire cheese
Or
a vegetarian option of a delicious sweet potato, chickpea and coriander stew.

The third course was the pupils' hardest decision as they had a wide selection of twelve's jars of delicious desserts, ranging from; sticky toffee pudding, banana split, 'rossall mess', chocolate fudge cake

OR
a delicious rossall panna cotta made up with layers of zingy vanilla cream alongside raspberries and blueberries, topped off  with an edible garden created with chocolate soil and tiny edible flowers. This signature dessert highlighted the colours of the school.

Thirty-two of Rossall's lucky students received the full treatment as we set up two tables for them to be waited on throughout.

The tables were beautifully dressed with the help of Jane and Jason from Flower Design (www.flowerdesign.co.uk)

The head of Rossall school Elaine Purves, reflecting on the day said:
"Working with Twelve is a great way to introduce our students to fine dining and give them a taste of what great british food is all about.
It's important to prepare our young children for their lives beyond school, and this is a really fun and delicious way to teach those life lessons."
