TWELVE Restaurant & Lounge Bar has released its first batch of culinary workshops for 2011 – the perfect treat for foodies this Christmas!

The award-winning restaurant at Marsh Mill in Thornton has organised workshops for two dates in January and two dates in February – including a special pre-Valentine’s Day tutorial!

The one-day workshops offer a fascinating insight into how to cook and present dishes like the professionals, with demonstrations and hands-on learning as well as special advice about serving and how to create the perfect dinner party ambience.
Caroline Upton, Front of House at Twelve – which also incorporates Twelve Event Management and Twelve Corner Shop – said: “More and more people are interested in learning how to prepare and serve food to restaurant standards and our cookery demonstrations are always very popular.

“The passion and enthusiasm of our chefs is more than matched by the dedication of some of the people taking part, especially when we show them simple but effective ways of preparing and presenting dishes.

“The cookery workshops embrace the full gastronomic experience – from what kind of wines to serve to how to get the velvet foam, called crema, on freshly brewed coffee! It’s not surprising that we often take bookings as Christmas gifts – it’s a great experience to give loved ones.”
