Team Twelve- Putting A Face To The Name.

Here at Twelve, we know that you know our faces, but do you know what each of us do?  Well we thought it was about time we let you have an inside look on Team Twelve, meet the players: 

Stuart Appleby- Restaurant, Conference and Banqueting Manager

Stuart is our Restaurant, Conference and Banqueting Manager.  With a wealth of experience in hotel, food and beverage management, his previous experience includes senior managerial roles for Southern Counties Tavern's, Bourne Leisure as well as holding the position of Assistant Hotel Manager at the Big Blue Hotel in Blackpool. Stuart brings lots of new and fresh ideas to the restaurant and you are sure to see him during service or at one of our events.

Michelle Armitage- Events Manager

With years of experience as a meetings and events executive for De Vere Hotels, Michelle holds the position of Events Manager.  Her office is based inside Twelve's Corner Shop, opposite the windmill, so if you are planning any kind of celebration from a wedding to a dinner party, Michelle is the woman to call.

Chris Clayton- Commis Chef

At just 18, Chris is currently in the second year of his Level 2- Professional Cookery Diploma and already has a lot of experience in the Fylde’s kitchens for someone of such a young age.  As a Commis Chef, Chris is involved at every stage from prep to service and is full of enthusiasm for all things Twelve

Craig Owen- Commis Chef

Originally from Southampton, Craig has plenty of AA rosette experience from working in Winchester restaurants.  He is taking all the challenges of a busy kitchen within his stride and has been a part of plenty of big events already including the 2012 Trinity Hospice Ball.

Dulcie Devlin- Restaurant and Events Co-ordinator

With twelve years at Twelve already under her belt, Dulcie has been here since the opening day.  After a brief retirement, she has come back to join us and is involved in all areas of the business, so from day to day you could find her anywhere, whether it’s in the restaurant, at an event or in our corner shop.

We have also recently welcomed back a familiar couple who left the team in 2011 to go travelling around the world.

Aaron (Az) Watson- Junior Sous Chef
Az already has plenty of experience working in Twelve’s engine room as he held the position of Chef de Partie before leaving to go travelling.  With plenty of culinary experiences gained from his adventures, he has now taken up the next rung of the ladder and gained the position of Junior Sous Chef.  Az is thoroughly enjoying the responsibility of his new role and is looking forward to the challenge.

Helen Whitter- Assistant Restaurant and Sales Manager
Having previously worked at Twelve for two and a half years as Assistant Restaurant Manager, Helen has also recently rejoined the team.  Although she will still be a familiar face during service, she now holds the Sales Managers role and will be in charge of Twelve’s advertising campaigns and social media.  So to all Twelve followers out there, make sure you keep up with us through our blog, Twitter and Facebook, it would be great to hear from you all.

Sue Killoran- Office Manager
Sue has been here since the beginning, even before the opening day and over the years has been involved in a little bit of everything.  One fact that many don’t know is that Sue is Paul’s sister and plays a vital role in the running of the restaurant.  She is the voice you often hear on the phone, the one in charge of the office and the person you call on if you are ever in need of anything.

Charlotte Roberts- Supervisor

Charlotte has been part of the team for over three years.  As one of our supervisors, she has a key role in managing the team, is often the first person you meet as you walk through our doors and as one of our most experienced members, overseas greeting customers and the lounge bar.

Debbie Beecher- Supervisor
Debbie has also been with us for a number of years and makes up the other half of our supervisory team.  With an additional job, Debbie mainly works weekends, whether it be in the restaurant or managing an outside event, no day is ever the same.

Tom Nelder- Head Chef
Tom has worked his way up through the ranks over many years.  Still at such a young age, he now leads the brigade as Head Chef and has held the position since 2011.  Together with Paul, Az and the rest of the boys, they are constantly looking for new and innovative ways of delighting our customers and no day could ever pass without the football banter from rival teams across the pass.

Caroline Upton and Paul Moss- Proprietors

Caroline and Paul are the creators of Team Twelve, the ones that brought their vision and ideas to Marsh Mill over 12 years ago.  With an abundance of experience working in top end restaurants and hotels, Caroline overseas front of house whilst Paul manages behind the scenes in the kitchen.  Launching their outside catering business in 2010, Twelve has gone from strength to strength catering for a number of key venues in the area, including The Great Hall at Mains and Fleetwood Town football Club.  Their main aim is to create a memorable experience, at affordable prices, using the best locally sourced produce for you, our locals and hope to continue welcoming new faces to the restaurant as well and catching up with returning ones.
