Twelve Cookery Demonstration


At Twelve we love being able to share the knowledge our chefs have learned over the years with our loyal customers when we have the chance. Our first instalment of our cookery demonstrations proved to be a great success and we are already looking ahead to the next one at the end of February.

Cookery demonstrations used to be a regular occurrence on a Saturday at Twelve in the early years of opening, however in recent times it is has been much harder to squeeze them into our busy schedules! So Graham (Head Chef) and Paul (proprietor) ceased the opportunity to take on the challenge again.

The cookery demonstrations give participants the chance to see dishes that we cook in the restaurant, being cooked from scratch and see it through to the final end product. Our chefs decided to prepare the three recipes from our entry in the North West Relish Publications Cookbook. Everyone received a copy of the book so that (hopefully) the dishes could then be replicated at home...fine dining made easier!


Starter: Heritage Tomato Salad with caramelised walnuts

Main: Hay Baked Beef Cheek with smoked mash, shallots and bacon

Dessert: Chocolate Pave with berry sorbet

We created the event with the idea that intimate and exclusive sessions would be more beneficial to the customer and would encourage interaction and questions with the chefs in the kitchen...test their knowledge!
